Role: Supply Chain Governance Coordinator

As part of the wider Procurement and Supply Chain function, the Supply Chain Governance Coordinator will support the continuous improvement of procurement and supply chain activity across Robertson Group. The role will help maintain effective processes, procedures, controls and reporting, while supporting responsible procurement, supplier assurance, new product introduction and innovation activity. The postholder will work with colleagues across the business to coordinate evidence, track actions, maintain key documents and support practical improvements that improve efficiency, reduce risk and create value. This is a development-focused role offering exposure across procurement, supply chain, systems, data, reporting, responsible business and supplier engagement.

DUTIES:

• Support responsible procurement activity across the supply chain, including supplier due diligence, evidence management, responsible sourcing requirements, ethical procurement, modern slavery assurance, audit actions and agreed governance controls.
• Assist with supplier assessment, evidence gathering, risk scoring, action tracking and follow-up activity to help ensure proportionate controls are in place for higher-risk suppliers, trades, materials and geographies.
• Coordinate activity linked to responsible procurement improvement plans, including supplier engagement, compliance monitoring, corrective actions, reporting and communication of expectations across the business and supply chain.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve procurement and supply chain processes, helping to reduce duplication, improve productivity and support consistent ways of working.
• Support approved digital, systems and automation initiatives, helping activity move from concept through delivery and into business-as-usual operation.
• Maintain project plans, benefits trackers, action logs and management information to support continuous improvement activity across the function.
• Assist with benchmarking activity, outputs, service levels and productivity against relevant industry peers to help identify performance gaps and improvement priorities.
• Map current processes and support the development of improved future-state procedures, work instructions, templates, forms, guidance notes and user-friendly handbooks.
• Assist with the review, maintenance and communication of Procurement and Supply Chain RMS content, ensuring key procedures, forms and guidance documents remain current and aligned to business requirements.
• Support the development and ongoing management of internal and external Procurement and Supply Chain content, including Robertzone and relevant webpages, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and aligned with current ways of working.

QUALIFICATIONS/RELEVANT INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE:

• Degree qualified, minimum 2:2 classification, working towards a relevant qualification, or equivalent experience in procurement, supply chain, business, construction, data, compliance, sustainability or a related discipline.
• Interest in procurement, supply chain management, process improvement, governance, innovation, systems improvement or responsible business within a construction or infrastructure environment.
• Ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a methodical, organised and accurate approach to work.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with data, reports, trackers and management information to identify trends, issues and improvement opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers.
• Ability to support projects, manage actions, meet deadlines and respond positively to changing priorities.
• Computer literate and numerate, with strong Microsoft Office skills and an interest in Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, systems improvement or data visualisation.
• Curious, proactive and improvement focused, with the confidence to challenge inefficient ways of working in a constructive and professional manner.
• Awareness of procurement, supply chain, supplier management, responsible procurement, ethical sourcing, modern slavery, sustainability, social value or supplier assurance requirements would be advantageous.
• Willingness to learn, seek feedback and build knowledge of procurement excellence, supply chain governance, innovation and responsible business practices.
