Your new role

What you’ll do:

As an HR Advisor with Robertson Facilities Management, you’ll work as part of a small, dedicated team to provide an efficient and friendly HR service to your relevant business area(s). Our stakeholders vary across several sites and client contracts, so no two days will be the same as you directly support our people and people leaders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver an effective HR service to assigned business areas, supporting People Leaders to understand and implement policies and procedures in line with best practice in people management
  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Liaise closely with business leaders and managers to monitor HR practices, ensure compliance, and provide professional advice and guidance
  • Support the delivery of projects aligned to the People Strategy and Plan to help move the HR agenda forward
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and processes, including, but not limited to, disciplinary and grievance, performance management, absence management, redundancy, TUPE and onboarding
  • Represent the HR department at relevant business meetings
  • Work in partnership with the L&D Advisor to ensure People Leaders receive appropriate support and guidance across all aspects of the RFM employee lifecycle
  • Provide effective employee relations case management across the region, supporting People Leaders with sensitive and confidential matters including attendance, performance management, grievance, disciplinary, restructures, redundancies and re-evaluation of posts, in line with policies, procedures and best practice
  • Manage maternity, paternity, adoption and flexible working requests for RFM business units
  • Support the wider RFM HR Team with TUPE programmes, including preparation, consultation and ensuring the relevant legislation is complied with, both at bid stage and throughout the process. Work with trade unions and contract partners as appropriate at all stages of the process
  • Advise on changes to employees’ terms and conditions, maintain People Platform records, and notify the relevant departments of any changes
  • Contribute to operational reports on topics such as employee engagement, sickness absence and turnover, analysing trends and highlighting improvement opportunities to the HR Business Partner and SLT
  • Ensure DBS/PVG checks are completed where required and that a database is maintained, outlining DBS/PVG numbers and expiry dates. Complete risk assessments where appropriate, escalating areas of risk accordingly. Advise managers on the correct DBS/PVG process and requirements, ensuring renewals are completed in a timely manner
  • Respond to requests for information from Bid Teams across Robertson Group companies
