Location: Central belt -with travel to Elgin

Your new role

The Role:

To support the Contracts Manager in the successful delivery of timber frame construction projects. Ensuring that all RTE Departments and Key Client Staff are always aware of the latest project information, assist with deadlines and identify potential risks or delay, communicating with the reasons why the delay has arisen and what the effects will be.  The position also contributes to the commercial performance of projects by assisting with cost tracking and variations.

 

Assist with all RTE actions once the Project gets to site ensuring that timber kit erected on site is done so as per agreed specification to customer’s satisfaction, to maintain Health and Safety standards, CDM regulations and as per programme therefore minimising commercial risk to RTE.

 

 

Duties:

 

  • Review the project specification and assist monitoring build programmes to understand the client’s needs.
  • Oversee works on multiple sites to meet specification requirements, scope of work, monitor build programmes, and report back to Contracts Manager and project QS associated cost or time implications.
  • Work closely with Site Managers to resolve day to day operational issues
  • Maintain accurate records of project documentation, variations, and subcontractor agreements to assist the Contracts Manager.
  • Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Support in developing project programmes and monitoring progress against timelines
  • Support cost control processes, including monitoring and tracking budgets relating to plant and labour.

 

About you:

  • Experience in timber frame construction essential.
  • Understanding of Fire Separation within timber frame required.
  • Knowledge of the Autodesk ACC format an advantage.
  • Strong organisational time and management skills.
  • Good understanding of construction processes.
