Maintenance Engineer - Fabric

 

Location:Redcar TS6 9AG (Mobile Redcar Schools)

Contract: Permanent - Full Time

Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:00 -  38.75 hours per week

Your new role

DUTIES:

To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance

· To undertake planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance work either independently under the supervision of the Hard Services Manager on: -

  • Service and repair of doors windows and general building fabric.
  • Service and repair of plumbing systems.
  • Small plaster repairs and painting.
  • Service and repair of fixed and suspended ceilings.
  • Service and repair of internal fixtures and fittings.
  • Fire door inspections to FDIS standard, including any minor remedials. 

· To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the client

· To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment and tools

· To operate always with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.

· To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, informing the Hard Services Manager of any follow up action that may be required

· To report all accidents and incidents as appropriate

· To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services.

· The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM's policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.

· To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM’s operational requirements.
