Role: IT & Information Security Analyst 

Location: Stirling/Elgin

Your new role

The IT and Information Level 1 Analyst will be expected to support activities relating to IT and Information security, provide advice for users and to ensure that they promote security best practice across Robertson in every aspect of their role.

DUTIES:

  • Liaise with users who have issues or concerns over IT, Information or Cyber security and triage the user and the identified problems, escalating to the Information/IT Security Manager where required
  • Participate in Information, IT and Cyber risk management, carrying out remediation projects for security issues identified and working with the IT Security team to assist in remediations where appropriate.
  • Work with security and monitoring systems in accordance with agreed processes and procedures and in compliance with the law.
  • Develop documentation for processes and procedures within their sphere of operations
  • Learn about Robertson Information security policies, procedures and the Information Security Management System.
  • Undergo training in Information and IT Security auditing so that they can carry out ISO 27001 audits internally and externally with suppliers.
  • Provide guidance on security to users within Robertson as required.
  • Monitor the IT Ticketing system and ensure actions are notified to the team so that all tickets are answered promptly
  • Report all IT security incidents and participate in Incident resolution as required
  • Work with Robertson businesses to promote compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures and policies.
  • Gain experience in different aspects of IT system administration and management so that there is a full understanding of Robertson systems and how critical systems are to the business.
  • Carry out any other duties as requested and as are appropriate to the role.
  • Monitor Information and IT security systems to ensure the safety of Robertson information and systems.
  • Demonstrable continuous professional development and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Carry out any other duties which may be appropriate to the role and which are requested.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Working towards becoming an professional in IT and Information Security
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001
  • Knowledge of different types of security threats
  • Understanding of what risk assessment is and how to use it.
  • Knowledge of data protection laws and associated regulations and how these impact information security
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Delivery focused

  • Willing to undertake continuous professional development
