Location - Central - East of Scotland

Contract: Permanent - Full Time

Hours- 40 hours

Your new role

What you’ll do:

 

  • Responsibility for the operational delivery of services.
  • To manage the delivery of a small works service, including low/medium/high risk activities through specialist supply chain partners throughout the assigned geographical region across multiple diverse client sites.
  • Ensure delivery of a safe, customer-focused, cost-effective, efficient and compliant service to meet the contractual and legal obligations.
  • Provision of effective liaison with building users to establish the required brief. Coordination with all interested parties on approved projects to agree on timescales and sequence of works.
  • To co-ordinate the organisation, procurement and management of the delivery of small works. To include obtaining pricing, ensuring value for money is demonstrable.
  • Providing guidance, advice and support, acting as ‘Technical Expert’, ensuring technical competence of the team/supply chain whilst validating and disseminating best practice and innovation.
  • To deliver budgeted targets for profit/performance related to a work stream/function.
  • To manage excellent relationships with the client, supply chain partners and other partners.
  • To ensure compliance with all statutory, IMS, security and relevant company and client policies, generating a true health and safety culture.
  • To support and lead the introduction of operational best practice into the region or contract. 

 

What you’ll need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH preferred but not essential
  • Training/experience of working within the CDM Regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both verbal and written
  • Recognised Project Management experience
  • Experience of effectively managing resources both direct and indirect
  • SSSTC preferred but not essential
  • Able to prepare work estimates
  • Ability to operate effective IT systems
  • Proficient in relevant computer programmes (Microsoft Word, Excel etc).
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites.

 

Who we’re looking for:

 

The applicant will work as part of the FM team to manage delivery of small works/CVN requests/project works & Lifecycle in a customer focussed and professional manner. Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation including CDM 2015, temporary works, preplanning and subcontractor management etc. is critical to the role.
