As a Degree Apprentice Quantity surveyor, some of the things you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works for pricing.
  • Preparing and sending out of Sub-contract enquires.
  • Attending, contributing to and taking minutes of meetings as required.
  • Preparing Valuations with Client’s, agreeing amounts for payment and ensuring invoices are prepared and issued.
  • Re-measuring work using site measurement and measurement from drawings.
  • Re-measurement of subcontract applications and processing subcontract payments.
  • Assisting with reporting on Contract Performance via monthly cost/value reconciliations and
  • Agreeing Client and Sub-Contract Final Accounts.
  • Working with cost clerk to ensure the compilation of accurate weekly site costs.


What you'll need

  • A Levels/Btec or HNC/HND equivalent in relevant subject, minimum of 120 UCAS points
  • Complimentary relevant  experience
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Methodical approach
  • Numerate
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Willingness to learn

About you

As a Degree Apprentice Quantity Surveyor we understand this may be one of your first roles so we’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in the construction industry. Experience within this sector would be great however if you can demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach with excellent written and verbal communications skills this could be the role for you. We will support you through your Traineeship to develop and progress in your chosen career path.
