Role:Finance Assistant

Location:Elgin or Stirling

Your new role

 

What you’ll do:

  • High volume Invoice & Subcontractor Certification. batches cleared daily
  • Follow procedures for; workflow approvals, weekly Plant hire and sub-contractor processes, matching GRN’s, review / work PO enquiries, Pro Forma VAT invoices.
  • Review Sub contactor certification, ensuring correct CIS split and deductions, retentions and reverse VAT where required.
  • Taking ownership of designated Purchase ledger and Subcontractor ledgers ensuring invoices/certification approved in line approval matrix and due date
  • Daily working Problem Invoice Workbench; clearing queries and aging. Escalate issues timeously to Finance team supervisor
  • Create same day BACS payment requests as required, process weekly payment runs
  • Processing a high volume of company expenses
  • Statement reconciliation and statement log maintained, ensure managed accounts are up to date
  • Mailbox enquiries are cleared within a 48hr SLA
  • Assist colleagues as requested by supervisor by providing absence cover and to meet the business needs
  • Ad Hoc finance duties & reports as required

 

 What you’ll need:

  • Previous experience in a high-volume PO and Non-PO transaction processing department
  • Previous experience of subcontract & CIS would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of an ERP system – ideally COINS
  • Ability to meet agreed deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • To take responsibility for your workload and timeline
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Team player with a drive for Continuous Improvement
