Job Title Maintenance Assistant - Water Hygiene

Location:Danetre Hospital

 

Working hours: Monday-Friday between the hours (07:30-15:30 or 10:00-18:30 if on call). On call rota will be 1/5 once these posts are filled and the new starters have been inducted.

Your new role

What you’ll do: 

  • To undertake basic water hygiene tasks, such as:
  • Flushing of little used outlets and dead legs.
  • Checking the tap temperatures of sentinels and representative taps.
  • Updating the water hygiene logbooks with records of PPMs, any out of specification results, and remedial action undertaken.
  • To support overarching responsibilities of the building water safety logbook and ensure a robust water hygiene maintenance regime is followed in accordance with Company procedures, risk assessments and industry best practice.
  • Fulfilling the role of a Water Competent Person.
  • The above list is not exhaustive but is indicative of the main items of plant and equipment to be maintained.
  • To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement / Contract.
  • To undertake planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance work as per the agreed programme, this includes grounds maintenance and fabric maintenance either independently where competent or by assisting tradesperson on Site.

What you’ll need:

  • The ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and under pressure.
  • Dedication and ambition to develop within the role.
  • To be capable of multi-tasking.
  • Ability to work with multi-technology systems to effectively deliver PPM and Reactive tasks.
  • Experience of working within a Healthcare Environment (desirable)
  • Critical thinking and problem solving (desirable)
  • Professionalism and strong work ethic (desirable)
  • Oral and written communications skills (desirable)
  • Full current UK driving license (desirable)

The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check before starting in the job.
