Quantity Surveyor

 

Location: Based in Tameside, covering Robertson FM Project sites across the UK

Working hours: 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Benefits: Company car or car allowance, Private Medical cover, 33 days annual leave, and more. 

Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Your new role

What you'll do: 

  •  Project administration from inception to completion
  • Preparation/ Review of tender docs including prelims & JCT Contracts
  • Preparation of consultancy agreements
  • Management of measurement, valuations, variations, applications for payment & final accounts
  • Responsibility for sub-contractor procurement & orders
  • Preparation of correspondence to client’s representatives & sub-contractors
  • Preparation of monthly cost value reconciliations
  • To attend site & pre-contract meetings
  • To provide administrative, clerical & technical support as required
  • Liaise with the customer, clients and design team.

What you’ll need:

  • Degree Qualified with post-qualification experience within a similar role
  • RICS qualified preferred but not essential
  • Ability to communicate with employees and direct labour.
  • Ability to convey necessary information to sub-contractors and clients.
  • Awareness of current Safety, Health & Environmental legislation, and quality standards.
  • Experience of successfully managing construction works on projects in various sectors, either on own or part of larger team.
  • Proven ability and demonstration of successful projects.
  • Technically competent with sound construction knowledge.
  • Good understanding of the construction process and awareness of the administration of construction contracts.
  • Commercially and contractually aware.

 

The successful candidate will require an Enhanced DBS with child barred list check before starting in the job.
