Domestic Assistant 

 

Location: Chester le Street Community Hospital

Working hours: 17 hours per week 

Shift pattern: Monday to Thursday 4pm to 7:30pm, Friday 4pm to 7pm

Salary: £12.54 per hour

Contract: Fixed Term to 25th August 2025. Potential to be extended or become permanent.

Your new role

About the role:

As a Domestic Assistant, you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Keeping our sites clean and tidy, which will include dusting, vacuuming and mopping 
  • Emptying waste bins and removing larger items of waste 
  • Cleaning main corridor floors using commercial machines 
  • Following all policies and procedures when it comes to Health and Safety and the use of PPE 
  • Always meeting the highest standards

The successful candidate will require a DBS Check prior to starting in the role. 

 

About you: 

We’re looking for someone with experience of commercial cleaning, together with good customer care skills. You’ll also need a knowledge of Health and Safety best practices and COSHH regulations, lots of initiative and the confidence to work on your own.
