Organisational Development and Talent Partner 

Location: Stirling/Hybrid working options

 

Your new role

The Learning Partner - OD & Talent will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and implementation of talent identification, assessment and development approaches that align with Robertson strategic objectives.

 

What you’ll do: 

 

Talent Development

  • Identify skills gaps within talent population and work with leaders to implement individual development plans.
  • Prepare and present reports on talent metrics to senior leadership.
  • Design and implement talent development programmes that address current and future business needs (longer-term aspiration)
  • Monitor the effectiveness of talent programmes and adapt as necessary. 

Succession Planning

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive succession planning strategy for standardised approach across the organisation.
  • Identify and assess high-potential employees and critical roles within the organisation.
  • Align succession planning initiatives with the organisation's strategic objectives and workforce planning needs.
  • Develop and maintain succession planning processes to ensure a pipeline of qualified candidates for key positions.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to identify, assess and develop aspiring leaders and high-potential employees.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to high-potential employees and their managers.

Performance Development

  • Oversee the continuous improvement of the performance development cycle, ensuring it is aligned with strategic objectives and people strategy ambitions.
  • Lead on communication strategy, developing guidance and issuing reports to businesses.
  • Provide guidance and support to businesses, people leaders and employees on performance evaluation and feedback.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve performance, quality and productivity.
  • Work towards building a culture of feedback.

Leadership Curriculum

  • Design and implement leadership development programmes and initiatives in line with our leadership behaviours framework.
  • Develop training to support people leaders in having great performance and development conversations.
  • Identify leadership development needs and create programs to enhance leadership skills, whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement and leadership excellence.

General

  • Engage with wider HR, department heads, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to all initiatives.
  • Engage key stakeholders in the business to ensure that there is a clear and consistent understanding of the objectives and outcomes of the project
  • Develop analytics to assess the effectiveness of talent management and succession initiatives.
  • Use metrics and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of talent management and succession planning programs and make data-driven decisions.
  • Liaise with Learning and Development team on the identification, creation and facilitation of learning activities.

What you’ll need:

  • Degree or equivalent
  • Chartered or Graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development or relevant professional qualification
  • Experience within a similar talent development role with transferable design and delivery skills
  • Experienced in designing supporting materials
  • Confident at facilitating discussions at all levels of stakeholders within the organisation
  • Ability to work with and influence customers and key stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong relationship builder with high levels of emotional intelligence
  • Strong problem solver, and creative thinking approaches
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload whilst considering the wider business impact
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, advanced with PowerPoint
  • Digital capability to a proficient level, knowledge of LMS systems would be an advantage
  • Coaching/Mentoring Qualification or significant experience an advantage
  • Qualification in psychometric profiling tools is desirable, or a willingness to achieve a qualification in this area

This role requires significant experience leading on talent approaches, succession planning, leadership curriculum and building high performance cultures within organisations. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and relationship building skills, be comfortable analysing and utilising data to build robust business proposals and reports linked to return on investment, value and impact.
