Overview

We’re a hard-working team who takes pride in keeping our customers’ buildings maintained so they’re safe and welcoming places to be in. We’re looking for someone with a friendly, can-do attitude to join our Grounds Maintenance team in North East England.  You’ll have great customer care skills, be able to prioritise your tasks and want to do a speedy but thorough job to keep up our excellent cleaning standards.

Your new role

What you’ll do:

  • Sports pitch maintenance, including grass cutting, fertilising, aeration, line marking (initial and overmarking) and goal post erection
  • General weeding / spraying of paths and shrub beds
  • Lawn maintenance and cultivation
  • Maintaining paths, lawns, flower beds, shrubs are free from litter and detritus
  • Using and maintenance of hand tools and basic light machinery and plant

What you’ll need:

  • Equivalent experience in a Grounds Maintenance background
  • Hold a full driving license and a trailer license.  Certificates of competence in compact tractor operations and use of tractor mounted implement, ride-on and self-propelled pedestrian mowers, strimmers, brush cutters and hedge cutters would be an advantage
  • Certificate of competence for pesticides spraying (PA1 & PA6) is desirable
  • Experience of undertaking landscaping and grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting within a professional environment
  • Experience in horticulture services and soft landscaping, hard landscaping experience would be an advantage

The successful candidate will require a Disclosure Check.

This is a Temporary full-time postion. Working hours are 37.5 hrs per week annualised working pattern working 45 hours Summer and 30 hours Winter.
