Vacancy for Tynemouth Community Fire Station - North Shields


We’re a hard-working team who takes pride in keeping our customers’ buildings spotless so they’re safe and welcoming places to be in. We’re looking for someone with a friendly, can-do attitude to join our team at Tynemouth Community Fire Station in North Shields. You’ll have great customer care skills, be able to prioritise your tasks and want to do a speedy but thorough job to keep up our excellent cleaning standards.

Your new role

What you’ll do:

  • Cleaning and disinfect every day all work surfaces and floors and paintwork in the designated areas
  • Dusting, vacuuming and moping general flooring throughout the site
  • Carrying out planned and ad-hoc cleaning duties within the building and to equipment located throughout the school
  • Ensuring that the facilities and services operate in compliance with Health and Safety legislation and procedures
  • Reporting all accidents and incidents as appropriate

What you’ll need:

  • General experience of cleaning in a Commercial capacity
  • Good customer care skills
  • Able to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety best practises
  • Awareness of COSHH regulations
  • The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check

This is a permanent part-time postion. Working hours are 16 hour per week Monday-Thursday 7.00-10.15am and Friday 7.00-10.00am.
