    This vacancy is for Robertson Faqcilities Management based in Clock View Hospital, Walton, L9 1EP.

    As Facilities Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for:

     

    • To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement between RFM and MCDC Fundco Ltd. 
    • To undertake planned, responsive and cyclical mechanical & electrical maintenance work, either independently where competent or by assisting competent tradesmen. 
    • To support overarching responsibility of the building water safety logbook and ensure a robust water hygiene maintenance regime is followed in accordance with company procedures, risk assessments and industry best practice. 
    • To ensure the safe, uninterrupted operation of all plant and equipment by way of frequent basic inspection, informing the Contract Manager of any follow-up action required and directly liaising with specialist contractors when required to support through to resolution. 
    • To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the healthcare objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the hospital service users and staff. 
    • Carry out basic testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting and other building critical systems in accordance with company procedures and industry best practice. 
    • To take part on an on-call rota, providing 24-hour, 365-day cover to the hospital as well as other contracts within operational responsibility.
    • To operate at all times with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, waste disposal, etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
    • The postholder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM’s policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.

    To join us, we’re looking for:

    • Possession of a formal mechanical or plumbing qualification or demonstrable previous experience. 
    • Possession of a current formal training qualification in legionella awareness is desirable. 
    • Knowledge of Building Energy Management Systems would be highly advantageous. 
    • Previous experience in a similarly varied role within a mental health environment.

    The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check
