    This role will be working for Robertson Timber Engineering Limited based either in Elgin or Stirling (depending on the successful candidate location).

    As CAD Technician, you’ll be responsible for:

    • Being familiar with company policies and procedures and act appropriately to a working office environment.
    • Preparing drawing/ document packs for issue internally & externally as required.
    • Preparing drawing register & issue sheets to accompany site drawings.
    • Dealing with external consultants & clients.
    • Processing information to the factory by way of accurate production drawings & cutting lists, following standard practices where applicable.
    • Presenting site construction information in accurate, clear and concise format, following standard practices where applicable.
    • Be Technically competent on joist details.
    • Ensuring completed drawings and associated information is filed in the prescribed manner

    To join us, we’re looking for:  

    • Good level of general education including 5 standard grade passes
    • Proficient IT user especially MS office (excel, word)
    • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
    • Able to work under pressure
    • Good methodical approach
    • Able to multi task work load
    • Excellent written & oral communication skills
    • Good telephone manner
    • Experience in the construction industry beneficial
    • Be part of a team & mentor junior members of team where applicable

    The working hours for this role are 38.75 hours per week.
