    This role will be working for ROBERTSON ENGINEERING SERVICES based at our offices in Gateshead.

    Your new role

    As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, youll be responsible for:

     

    • Preparation of sub-contract documentation.
    • Valuing sub-contract accounts and issuing the appropriate notices.
    • Managing and accounting for Sub-Contract change.
    • Agreeing sub-contract Final Accounts.
    • Preparing Interim Applications and agreeing Valuations with the Client’s Surveyor, including work executed and materials on site.
    • Ensuring payments due are made on time and approporiate notices are being received.
    • Change management - including the identification, valuation, tracking and agreement of variations/dayworks.
    • Attending and contributing to Client meetings.
    • Agreeing the Final Account.
    • Reporting to the Commercial Manager on job performance via cost/value comparisons.
    • Regular review of labour and material cost forecasts with the project teams for incoporation into monthly cost/value comparisons.
    • Preparing Cash Flow Forecasts for the Commercial Manager.
    • Attending, contributing and minuting Project Team Meetings.
    • Preparation of design appointments for consultants.
    • Providing full range of commercial and contractual support to the project teams.
    • Contract and sub-contract administration.
    • Ensuring adequate and accurate project records are kept and maintained.

     

    To join us, we’re looking for:

     

    Essential:

    • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
    • 5 years + Quantity Surveying experience within a relevant sector in the Construction industry.

    Desirable:

    • A member of the RICS
    • CSCS card holder
    • IT literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email
    • Verbal and written communication skills
    • Health & Safety knowledge 
    • Analytical & problem solving skills
    • Sales and negotiating skills
    • Track record of running several projects at the same time
    • Excellent cost reporting skills
