    Your new role

    As Project Manager, youll be responsible for: 

    • Liaise with the customer, clients and design team.
    • Work closely with the company’s Project Quantity Surveyor, providing the necessary input to allow the Quantity Surveyor to report on the current and projected financial status of the project.
    • To develop the main logic of the works programme and to monitor progress of the same weekly.
    • Develop Method Statements and Risk Assessments together with the Safety Plan and to observe the requirement of the CDM Regulations in the status of Principal Contractor.
    • Provide leadership and support to Site Supervisors, Management Trainees and support staff.
    • Source labour and maintain high productivity.
    • Expedite materials and information release from design team.
    • Day to day planning of operations and problem solving.
    • Check and correct time sheets and allocation sheets.
    • Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Procedure and Manual.
    • Attend meetings as required at the site and area offices.
    • Hold, chair and minute sub-contractor meetings.
    • Prepare reports for site meeting with design team and attend same.
    • Answer correspondence relative to the project as directed by your superior.
    • Report contractual risk situations to your superior.
    • Supervise the quality of the works and hand over a snag free building.
    • All other duties as assigned to effectively carry out your role.
    • Promote a single team culture within the project team.

    To join us, were looking for:

     

    • Significant management experience within the commercial sector of the construction industry
    • Experience of construction in the following sectors ideally; Education, Healthcare, Design & Build, Refurbishment
    • Experience of planning, programming and managing high value projects
    • Varied project history and good knowledge of the sub-contractor base
    • A strong understanding of technical issues and trends in the construction sectors
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels
    • Acute analytical, planning and organisational skills
    • Strong leadership and decision making skills and the ability to respond to change
    • Proactive, flexible, motivated approach to work
    • Valid CSCS Card (level 5)
    • Valid SMSTS 5 day course
    • First aid and Health and Safety training
    • Proficient IT user
