    As Mobile Maintenance Assistant, you’ll be responsible for:

     

    • To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement between RFM and MCDC Fundco Ltd. 
    • To undertake planned, responsive and cyclical mechanical & electrical maintenance work, either independently where competent or by assisting competent tradesmen. 
    • Undertake general planned, responsive and cyclical building fabric maintenance activities when required. 
    • To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the healthcare objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the hospital service users and staff. 
    • Carry out basic testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting and other building critical systems in accordance with company procedures and industry best practice. 
    • Ensure a robust water hygiene maintenance system is followed in accordance with company procedures, risk assessments and industry best practice. 
    • To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment and tools by way of frequent basic inspection.  
    • To operate at all times with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, waste disposal, etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM. 
    • To take part on an on-call rota, providing 24-hour, 365-day cover to the hospital as well as other contracts within operational responsibility. 
    • To report all accidents and incidents as appropriate via SHE systems. 
    • To carry out winter gritting and snow clearing duties as necessary as part of the RFM team and assist ground contractor in times of severe inclement weather. 
    • To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services. 
    • To provide support and assistance to other RFM contracts in the immediate region. 
    • The postholder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM’s polices, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service. 
    • To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM’s operational requirements.

     

    The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check
