    As Procurement Support Manager, you’ll be responsible for:


    To support the delivery procurement and supply chain strategy by providing value added service through the provision of operational support through the provision value added services, process development and controls to underpin the delivery of the Robertson Group Procurement & Supply Chain Management Strategy. This role plays an integral part in the provision of an efficient and effective service to the business units contained within the Robertson Group portfolio

    Carry out the daily management and operation of procurement & supply chain support services, systems, reporting, processes, and procedures to support both the function and wider business. Oversee all aspects of the procurement support services taking ownership for group wide delivery and development in accordance with Robertson Group Procurement & Supply Chain Management Strategy in relation to the following:

    • Line management of the procurement support services.
    • Lead, develop and coach individuals to build high performing teams and create a pipeline of talent.
    • Managing the appraisal process for direct reports, performance benchmarking and continuous improvement
    • Responsibility for the maintenance, guidance and control of functional processes and procedures.
    • Take ownership for the development and compliance of vendor database and the approval process.
    • Responsibility for the preparation and collation of monthly departmental management reports
    • Continuous improvement of reporting suite including development of dashboard reporting
    • Responsibility for the maintenance and control of functional processes and procedures.
    • Oversee the development and governance of group travel management provision booking.
    • Take Line management responsibility for the development and delivery of a robust Plant and Fleet strategy across all aspects of Robertson Group.
    • Focus on exceeding minimum service expectations by delivering an agile, value adding service with a deep understanding of customer requirements, technical competence, functional knowledge and process efficiency
    • Be aware and incorporate the companies standing on Health, Safety and Environment within all aspects of this role.
    • Monitor compliance with Robertson Group procurement guidelines
    • Managing the team sharepoint site.

    To join us, we're looking for:


    • Management experience of a team within a professional working environment
    • Qualified to HNC, Level 4 CIPS or equivalent experience.  An interest in studying towards full MCIPS membership is advantageous.
    • The role will require experience of procedures methods, performance measurement and improvement tools & techniques, financial analysis
    • The individual will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in problem solving, possess analytical skills and commercial awareness
    • The individual will need to demonstrate a proven track record in process compliance and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
    • The role will require excellent analytical and IT skills, strong commercial awareness, a measured approach to decision making and the ability to balance internal/external customer focus.
    • The ability to adopt a pragmatic, yet disciplined approach to process compliance, is essential
    • Demonstrates a passion and excitement for his/her work.  Tackles problems head-on and works to resolve them without delay. 
    • Willing to go the extra mile to exceed expectations.  Continually searches for ways to add value and take performance to the next level.
