This role will be working for Robertson Facilities Management based at Unit 8E, West Chirton North Industrial Estate, Alder Road, North Tyneside, NE29 8SD.

As Grounds Maintenance and Landscape Operative, you’ll be responsible for:


  • Sports pitch maintenance, including grass cutting, fertilising, aeration, line marking and goal post erection
  • General weeding / spraying of paths and shrub beds
  • Lawn maintenance and cultivation
  • To keep paths, lawns, flower beds, shrubs etc free from litter
  • The use and maintenance of hand tools and basic light machinery and plant
  • The use of cylinder and rotary mowers, strimmers and leaf blowers
  • Adjustments of mower height and quality of cut etc. Oil level checks and check for damage to any mower 

To join us, we’re looking for: 


  • Good interpersonal skills
  • NVQ in horticulture or equivalent
  • Sound knowledge of use of horticultural machinery
  • Relevant practical experience
  • Hard Landscaping Skills such as paving/fencing (desirable)
  • Driving Licence (Trailer licence desirable) 

The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check.

The working hours for this role are 37.5 (annualised hours 45 per week during the summer and 30 hours per week during winter).
