This role will be working for Robertson Timber Engineering Limited based either in Seaham, Elgin or Stirling (depending on the successful candidate location).

As Design Technician, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering an efficient design service that enables effective fabrication and construction of timber structural frames
  • Ensuring that all working processes and practices are undertaken safely, efficiently and profitably and in accordance with the company’s management systems and procedures
  • Own projects and communication with other team demonstrating the values and culture of the company
  • Agreeing design programmes with design manager and delivering against these
  • Managing the production of fabrication and construction drawings and schedules
  • To report in to the design manger with weekly updates on projects & progress
  • To work to an agreed programme
  • To assist if necessary with helping junior members of staff in development

To join us, we’re looking for: 

  • HNC in Architectural Technology (desirable)
  • Autocad experience (essential)
  • Consultec or similar timber frame software experience (desireble)
