This role will be working for Robertson Facilities Management working across various locations in Hull.

Responsibilities

Customer Service

Ensure customers comply with all terms & conditions, including codes of conduct
Liaise with the school and community groups in relation to the use of the facility
Deal with third party (Extended/Community users) enquiries in an efficient and courteous manner
General reception duties ensuring all group leaders sign in and sign out
Ensure that community users vacate the facilities at the correct time
 
Facility Presentation
Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the building especially in the changing rooms, pools, sports hall and gymnasium including cubicles, showers and toilets
General cleaning and labouring duties (set-up and set down of equipment)
Liaise with the caretaker about the use of the facility and any equipment
Ensure that the appropriate equipment is set out at the right time and in the correct places (both indoor and outdoor) and that such equipment is immediately returned to the appropriate storage area after use
Undertake checks of equipment for suitability, damage and loss
Report to the caretaker any damage to equipment or fabric of the buildings
The post holder must comply with the Companies policy regarding personal presentation which includes the wearing of staff uniform at all times whilst on duty
 
Health and Safety
Responsible for own Health and Safety and the Health and Safety of other staff
Responsible for the health and safety of all customers
Maintain a vigilant attitude to security both in and around the buildings at all times
Ensure all operations are carried out as detailed within operating procedures and appropriate Health and Safety regulations

At all times to represent the company in the best possible way, be courteous and professional working to the highest ethical standards.
Ad hoc duties assigned by your line manager in connection with operational requirements ensuring works are completed within required time frames.

Qualifications

  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to carry out cleaning tasks thoroughly
  • Pleasant and cheerful manner
  • Flexibility, as the post holder may be called upon to help in other areas around the school
  • Able to handle heavy sports equipment
  • Keen interest in sport and leisure
  • Health and safety awareness
  • Good customer care skills
  • Able to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly
  • Able to work to a high standard against agreed timescales with limited supervision
  • First aid at work qualification
  • Experience of work at a gymnasium/sports hall or other leisure environment
  • Manual handling training
  • Security training

Must be prepared to work unsocial hours and additional hours to cover for other staff due to holidays and sickness etc. 

 

WORKING HOURS:

'As and When' required (Evenings and Weekends)

Various locations across Hull (Kingswood Academy, Winifred Holtby and Tweendykes Academy & The Marvell College)
