This role will be working for Robertson Facilities Management based at New Craigs Hospital, Inverness.

  • To carry out routine and ad hoc domestic duties as required in support of the Trust’s clinical and administrative staff to ensure compliance with performance standards. These duties include the cleaning of all patient and public areas, assisting in meal service, the cleaning of all ward based cutlery and crockery and any other duties as requested by the supervisor. 
  • To respond to all help-desk calls during working hours. 
  • To ensure the safe storage for all chemicals and domestic consumables. 
  • To provide adequate supplies of domestic consumables in the appropriate areas. 
  • To ensure the safe operation and cleanliness of all equipment used by Robertson Facilities Management (RFM). 
  • To carry out temperature checking of all foods trolleys, RFM fridges and to provide a safe and hygienic environment in all building food areas. 
  • To operate at all times with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, waste disposal, etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM. 
  • To assist in the provision of the site waste management procedures. 
  • To report all accidents and incidents as appropriate. 
  • To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services. 
  • The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM’s policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the housekeeping services.
  • To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM’s operational requirements. 


  • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • Previous experience working with the general public
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Polite and personable nature
  • Good personal presentation skills
  • The successful candidate will require a DBS Check   

HOURS OF WORK: The working hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week.
LOCATION: New Craigs Hospital, Inverness


RATE OF PAY: Scottish Living Wage
