  • Overview

Here at Team Robertson, we’re more than just builders. With a strong entrepreneurial culture that runs through everything we do, we’ve become the people you should talk to when it comes to taking the first steps in growing and transforming your career.

We’re a warm, friendly, forward-thinking and family-driven business with more than 50 years’ experience of our industry. So you could say we really know our stuff.

In fact, we’re actually one of the UK’s largest independently owned construction, infrastructure and support services companies. And because we’re still growing fast, the chances are that we can help you grow just as fast, too.

    Your new role

So, join us as a Site Manager - Summer Intern, and we’ll give you real responsibility from day one. You’ll get stuck into:

    • Subcontractor control through progress meetings, monitor performance and co-ordinate on-site activities
    • Produce short-term weekly programmes for their section and subordinates’ section in line with overall contract programme requirement
    • Ensure accurate daily records (diaries, labour and material returns) are kept
    • Liaising with team members on a daily basis and encourage and develop others to succeed in their roles

But we’re not looking for just anyone. To be part of our team, you’ll need:

    • Be a 2nd or 3rd year student studying a Built Environment related degree and on track for a 2:2 minimum
    • With excellent communication skills
    • Have an awareness of health and safety

    What's in it for me

While this is the first step in building your career, it’s also the next step in learning the skills you need to build yourself. And here, you’ll discover dedicated training teams to help keep you up to speed, together with a huge range of personal development programmes.

And with a competitive salary and pension, a fantastic benefits package, and local team based rewards depending on your role and where you’re based – we’ve created the perfect place to lay the foundations for your future.
