This role will be working for Robertson Partnership Homes based in Stirling.

Your new role

  • Ensure compliance with the company procedures
  • Ensure project teams prepare and issue factual and accurate reports for the Monthly Regional Board Meetings.
  • Attend monthly CVR Meetings with project teams.
  • Review job costs and instigate investigations, where necessary.
  • Review weekly labour returns for cost/recovery and non-productive payments. Authorise wages and productivity bonus payments together with labour only payments and take immediate action to prevent reoccurrence of errors which cause wasteful utilisation of company resources
  • Promote communication between all departments to continually improve project performance and team relationships between Surveying, Operations and other departments e.g. Buying, Administration, Accounts, Planning, Productivity, Community Development.
  • Ensure all work is executed in accordance with current Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations and that recommendations made by the company safety officer are promptly dealt with.
  • Regularly visit all sites.
  • Instigate Safety Meetings at site and regional level.
  • Ensure that each project is adequately resourced to maintain programme.
  • Ensure that resourced project Programmes are prepared and monitored on a weekly basis. Where required recovery programmes to be prepared and monitored.
  • Improve the Company’s overall performance and image by ensuring all contracts are run effectively to a high quality to meet, or better, target completion dates and produce maximum return to improve the Company’s profitability.
  • Systematically improve the calibre of the Project Management and site staff
  • Attend ad-hoc site meetings, as appropriate, to ensure that the Company is adequately represented and to ensure that proper use is made of company resources. “Trouble-shoot” in appropriate areas as identified by others.
  • Ensure the early attention to maintenance/snagging list to achieve timeous release/reduction of retention monies.
  • Attend Management Meetings and contribute to policy decisions, as appropriate.
  • Assist in securing opportunities for non-traditional business such as negotiated contracts, design & build, partnering and SCAPE Framework opportunities and continually seek new business opportunities and innovation.
  • Assist in monitoring regular Customer feedback on Construction performance to permit assessment of the Company’s strengths and weaknesses.
  • Continually develop relationships with outside consultants and clients.
  • Represent the Company at pre-tender interviews as directed
  • Prepare tender site investigation reports making comment and recommendation on project planning, buildability, staffing, plant, risk and opportunities etc all as directed
  • Attend post-tender interviews as directed.
  • Other duties, as may be reasonably expected of you from time to time by the Construction Board or their appointees.

What's in it for me

  • Previous supervisory experience in construction industry is advantageous.
  • Qualified to Degree/HND Civil Engineering preferred.
  • CSCS card scheme to management level (minimum level 3)
  • SMSTS or SSSTS required.
  • Knowledge of various surveying equipment is desirable.
  • CAD Knowledge and knowledge of ground modelling is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate with employees and direct labour.
  • Ability to convey necessary information to Workforce, Sub-contractors and Clients.
  • Ability to build relationships with the Client’s management team.
  • Temporary Works Co-ordinator is desirable.

The working hours for this role are 38.75 hours per week
