This role will be working for Robertson Construction Eastern based in Aberdeen

Your new role

To manage and co-ordinate the procurement, design development and installation of the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and other associated services, to ensure that the overall phasing and completion of the works are achieved as required by the project objectives.





  • Review the package of information and advise the pre-construction team on appropriate contractors and method of procurement.
  • Review returned packages to ensure completeness and areas of risk or opportunity.
  • Advise on areas of buildability and / or Value Engineering where required.
  • Attend pre/post tender interviews where requested.


  • Assist the commercial team to select the most appropriate contractor(s). Involvement with the Tender Clarification Interviews for the services packages.
  • Provide value engineering input into the Building services package.
  • Manage and report on the procurement of utilities.
  • Assist with the procurement and management of consultants and suppliers

Design Development

  • Ensure technical meetings are carried outwith Design Teams
  • Produce monthly progress and Information Reports
  • Ensure implications with BWICWS and affect on structure/fabric is considered.


  • Maintain up to date site records as required
  • Deal with correspondence as necessary
  • Co-ordinate the commissioning, witnessing and demonstration process to ensure successful handover.
  • Ensure full O&M documentation is provided for handover
  • Resolve any Building Services issues on live / previous contracts




Internal:           Regional Managing Director, Commercial, Operations, Preconstruction, Health and Safety. 

External:           Clients, Design Teams, Sub contractors, Statutory Services providers. 





Supporting Building Services staff. 



  • Successful delivery of the building services against quality, programme, cost and H&S.
  • Successful delivery of the utilities

What's in it for me
